ABSTRACT
This study was carried out to evaluate the effect of staff motivation on customer satisfaction in some selected hotel's in Yakur lga in Cross River State. Specifically, the study aims to examine the factors that motivate staff in selected hotel's in yakur lga in Cross River State, find out if company goals have effects on the motivation of staff in selected hotel's in yakur lga in Cross River State and assess the relationship between staff motivation and customer satisfaction in some selected hotel's in yakur lga in Cross River State. The study employed the survey descriptive research design. A total of 259 responses were validated from the survey. From the responses obtained and analyzed, the findings revealed that Staff motivation have an impact on customer satisfaction in some selected hotel's in yakur lga in Cross River State. The study thereby recommend that management should understand the importance of motivating working staff to increase the overall motivation level of staff. Also, organizations leaders should chose the right tool by considering those factors which effect on staff. Finally, the same motivation tool should not be used repeatedly and organizations should use those tools flexibly; a motivation tool may be replaced by the other.
